The labyrinth

The Labyrinth is a walking meditation with a winding path that doubles back many times before reaching the centre. It is not a maze. The way in is the way out. Labyrinths have been in use for at least 4,000 years and have long been used for meditation and prayer in both secular and religious traditions. Labyrinths are found all over the world in many cultures and traditions.

The Labyrinth is a path to help you gain peace, insight, clarity, and guidance. Walking the labyrinth is a metaphor for the journey to the centre of your deepest self and back out into the world. People walk the labyrinth to find their center and be in touch with eternal truths.

The labyrinth connects us to the depths of our soul so we can remember who we are.

People walk the labyrinth to find clarity, peace, and insight. They walk to pray, to heal, to reflect, to celebrate, to find wisdom, to connect with Spirit, and to build community.

It is a safe and sacred place where you can hear your inner voice and experience the presence of the Divine.

"Walking the labyrinth clears the mind and gives insight into the spiritual journey. It urges action. It calms people in the throes of life transitions. It helps them see their lives in the context of a path, a pilgrimage. They realize that they are not human beings on a spiritual path, but spiritual beings on a human path."

Experience the labyrinth journey

I have a beautiful 25" canvass 11 circuit medieval labyrinth (similar to the Chartres labyrinth). I am a Veriditas Certified Labyrinth Facilitator and would be happy to create a labyrinth experience just for your group.

The labyrinth can be used to create meaningful experiences and ceremonies for many things including celebrations (birthday, graduation), special occasions (Advent, New Year's Eve), transitions (new job, life passages) and healing (relationships, grieving, forgiveness, world healing, and physical health).

The labyrinth is a powerful path for community building (teams, church groups, associations) and to spark creativity and innovation for individuals and groups.
